Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to set up and maintain production lines used to repair and upgrade returned customer products, while supporting technicians in diagnosing and repairing electronic systems in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.

You will lead equipment setups, design and maintain test fixtures, perform root-cause analysis, collect repair data, and mentor technicians while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience designing or manufacturing microprocessor- or microcontroller-based products.
• Electronics manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Automated test systems experience preferred but not required.
• Component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic products strongly preferred.
• Experience with switching power supplies preferred but not required.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain test fixtures and systems for microcontroller products.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits to component level using schematics and test equipment.
• Knowledge of lab and manufacturing safety practices.
• Strong problem-solving, willingness to learn, self-motivated, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup of new production line equipment used to test, repair, and upgrade electronic products.
• Assist in design, construction, and maintenance of test fixtures and test systems (hardware, software, mechanical).
• Troubleshoot product failures and perform root-cause analysis on returned electronics.
• Collect repair data and maintain accurate repair records/databases.
• Provide feedback to product development on design corrections and recurring failures.
• Assist in developing and documenting troubleshooting and repair protocols.
• Perform repairs on returned devices following quality and safety standards.
• Assist technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electronic products.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to operations and repair technicians.
