Multiple Full-Time Manufacturing & Engineering Opportunities (Chelmsford, MA)

Preferring someone from (Aerospace, Defense, Naval Shipbuilding backgrounds)

(3+ years of experience estimating costs for electronics manufacturing, including PCBAs, backplanes, cable/harness, and box build assemblies)

Manufacturing Engineer III- $100 - $115K

(6+ years of electronics/electro-mechanical manufacturing experience, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and continuous process improvement expertise)

(3–7+ years of Surface Mount (SMT/PCB) manufacturing experience and hands-on leadership of SMT production lines.)

Documentation ECO/Manufacturing Engineer - $60 - $65K

(Experience creating and managing multi-level BOMs, ECOs/ECNs, and manufacturing documentation for PCBA/electro-mechanical assemblies - Medical field)

Quality Inspector - $60 - $63K

(5+ years of electromechanical inspection experience and IPC-A-610/620 certification)

Inventory Cycle Counting Specialist - $48K - $50K

(Experience in electronic component inventory, ERP/MRP systems, and cycle count accuracy)

Job Description:
Manufacturing Engineer II
Required Skills:
  • B.S engineering or equivalent experience, 6+ years of experience in the electronics and/or electro mechanical field, preferably in contract manufacturing
  • Complete understanding of drawings, parts lists, specifications and engineering change notices
  • Circuit card assembly experience
  • Continuous improvements and root cause corrective action initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred requirements

Specific qualifications that would ease transition for new candidate

  • Experience with Aegis Factory Logix
  • Experience with determining labor costs
  • Interpreting and translating customer BOMs into facility cost templates
  • IPC Certifications (J-STD-001, J-STD-001S, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620)
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all technical support of the processes used to manufacture circuit card assembly, cable/wire harness products, and box builds. Be a creative and proactive contributor to the management team. At all times drives continuous improvement through process development, root cause analysis and systematic problem solving, and metrics. Is responsible for all engineering activities on each account and is the interface for internal/external customers.
  • Circuit cards, cables/wire harnesses, and box builds
  • Reviews requests for quotation ensuring information contains a complete-statement of work, technical data package, and special instructions.
  • Develops labor times for interconnect assemblies
  • Evaluate and Interpret customer and technical specifications, drawings, engineering instructions, and fabrications and communicate requirements to the factory.
  • Creates and maintains manufacturing visual aids and routings, bills of material, detailed assembly and inspection instructions, and visual aids as required to process manufacturing orders.
  • Review engineering ECO packages for signoff.
  • Reviews, approves, and/or develops specifications for purchases
  • Analyzes current processes and implements process improvements to reduce costs and/or increase quality. Evaluates scope of project and determines production labor and material requirements.
  • Incorporates customer’s change notices into manufacturing document.
  • Resolves technical problems encountered during the production process. Works with process engineers to improve processes and incorporate a more lean methodology across all products.
  • Develop and document operating procedures and work instructions with the focus on continued productivity and quality.
  • Leads ECO/project kickoffs for smooth release to the shop floor
  • Be fluent in Excel, PDF editing and word spreadsheets.
