Job summary

Elbit America is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I – Electronics to support PCB assemblies, electronic modules, wiring/harnesses, and electro-mechanical systems on the Texas shop floor.

The role collaborates with Quality, Production, Test Engineering, and Design Engineering to ensure high-reliability electronics meet ESA standards and defense requirements. This is ideal for entry-level engineers transitioning from technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
• Basic understanding of CAD tools and ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support development, documentation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Assist with production floor troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions for manufacturing issues.
• Provide engineering support to production operators and technicians to ensure quality and throughput.
• Participate in design-for-manufacturability reviews and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Assist with tooling and fixture design, procurement, and validation.
• Maintain process documentation including routings, BOMs, and manufacturing plans.
• Support configuration control and change management for work instructions and engineering changes.
• Help implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction).
• Collaborate with Quality Engineering to resolve nonconformances and audits.
