Job summary

Ahtna Inc. seeks an Electronics Technician Maintenance I to perform basic maintenance on electronic equipment and training devices, under close supervision and following detailed instructions. Responsibilities include testing with DMMs, oscilloscopes, and signal generators, and preparing reports for maintenance activity.

The role requires familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance, PC hardware/software, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government clearance.

Qualifications

• Two-year Electronic Technician degree or equivalent is required.
• Two (2) years’ experience as electronic maintenance technician or equivalent.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic equipment and instrumentation.
• Experience in the operation, use, maintenance and upgrade of personal computers or equivalent.
• Experience in debugging computer hardware and software.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install and test electrical, electronic, mechanical and electromechanical equipment as part of maintenance and upgrades.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on training devices and simulators.
• Troubleshoot and repair to restore operation and minimize downtime.
• Bench check, repair or replace faulty modules in subassemblies using documentation and tools.
• Prepare maintenance reports for weekly/monthly summaries.
• Update technical documentation and change pages as needed.
• Assist in identifying supply requirements and manage stocking areas.
• Support instructors and operators with training schedules.
