Job summary

ABSI Aerospace & Defense at Edwards AFB, CA seeks an Electronics Lab Technician to support the USAF Test Pilot School courses for Space Force personnel and others. Responsibilities include maintaining and upgrading lab equipment, collaborating with instructors, and organizing simulator and ground-test events.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with 5 years in a lab environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, aerospace, or related field may substitute with 2 years experience.
• Ability to build laboratory demonstrations.
• Experience using scientific instrumentation and equipment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience using Matlab and Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, integrate, and upgrade TPS lab equipment to support curriculum and research objectives.
• Assist instructors and students in instrument development and calibration.
• Organize and run simulator lab events and ground test activities.
• Lead instrument assembly and testing.
• Ensure lab compliance with TPS guidelines and security.
• Support USAF TPS instrumentation division requirements.
• Monitor lab inventory and supplies to keep the lab functioning.
