Job summary

Eaton’s Control Power Solution in Raleigh, NC seeks an Electronics Lab Technician II to support R&D, verification, and validation of advanced electronic products. You will build, maintain test environments, execute test plans, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and contribute to product quality and performance in a safety‑critical high‑power lab.

Collaborating with engineers and cross‑functional teams, you will manage test fixtures, run automated tests with Python and Robot Framework,

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years hands-on electronics lab/test engineering experience.
• 1+ years knowledge of test equipment and instrumentation; strong communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) & Lab Operations: develop, build, and maintain test fixtures and equipment.
• Assemble and integrate rack-mounted hardware per schematics and layouts.
• Fabricate, route, and terminate wire harnesses and cable assemblies; perform soldering and PCB work.
• Troubleshoot wiring, connectivity, and board-level hardware issues; manage lab parts.
• Coordinate prototype/production hardware procurement and availability; support shipping and inventory.
