Trane Technologies has an exciting on-site opportunity for an Electronics Lab Technician II in our Davidson, NC Engineering Test Lab. This role designs and fabricates controls simulators and test fixtures for HVAC and transport products, and collaborates with the engineering team to validate new components.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Electromechanical or 10+ years of electronics experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Formación

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Electromechanical (or related technical discipline) and at least 5 years of relevant experience; OR at least 10 years of relevant electronics experience.

Responsabilidades

• Work safely and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Support product development activities by designing and fabricating commercial HVAC system simulators with modest guidance from Engineering.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair of Trane commercial HVAC technologies, controls, and electronics components.
• Execute electronics testing procedures for VFDs and motors developed by engineering teams, using programmable AC supplies, load systems, and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes.
• Support end-to-end concept and validation controls testing with instrumentation and data acquisition setup with guidance from Engineering and Senior Technicians.
• Drive for continuous improvement in job performance and laboratory procedures.
