Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Electronics Hardware Technician to participate in all aspects of new product development, including schematics, PCB layout, prototype assembly, and validation in a lab environment. The role demands independent work, multi-tasking across projects, and strong communication with engineers.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, reworking prototypes, and supporting EMC, Safety & Environmental testing, with emphasis on data generation and test reporting.

Qualifications

  • AAS in Electronics Technician or equivalent experience.
  • Experience building, troubleshooting, and validating electromechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with electronics hardware and basic electronics tools.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office365 suite.

Responsibilities

  • Schematic creation and maintenance
  • Prototype assembly and troubleshooting
  • Soldering rework on electronic assemblies
  • Using basic electronic tools, including power sources, oscilloscopes and analyzers
  • System setup and troubleshooting for EMC, Safety & Environmental testing
  • Data generation and test report completion
