Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Test Technician in Hopkinton, RI, to test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify development and production components. The role emphasizes signal conditioning electronics, telemetry systems, instrumentation, and test equipment in collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

The candidate will perform functional testing, calibrations, data collection, and support for prototypes and production units, with a focus on reliability and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• OR Associate Degree (or post-secondary education) with 0–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
• Willingness to travel on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional and continuity testing of electrical and optical assemblies, components, and harnesses using ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
• Set up standard test apparatus and configure test equipment and circuitry to perform functional, operational, environmental, and life-cycle tests in accordance with test procedures.
• Test prototype and production units to evaluate performance, reliability, and compliance with specifications.
• Assist engineers in troubleshooting failed production or prototype components under their direction and guidance.
• Recommend changes to test procedures and test specifications to improve testing effectiveness and product performance.
• Perform setup, calibration, rework, and quality testing related to parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
