Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 6+ months contract in Haltom City, TX. The role is on the 2nd shift (3:00pm – 1:30am) with a pay range of $35–$41 per hour.

Responsibilities include following blueprints, testing systems, maintaining production records, and ensuring specifications are met. The position may require overtime, lifting up to 35 pounds, and potential mentorship of newer technicians.

  • Follows blueprints, guidelines and diagrams to meet product specifications and tolerances.
  • Uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify systems and components.
  • Maintains records of production and reports issues following standard procedures.
  • Ensures systems and components meet established specifications.
  • Reworks and repairs mechanical and electromechanical assemblies as needed.
  • May learn to disassemble, repair and assemble product per specifications.
  • Completes production documentation accurately and performs labor transitions.
  • Supports EHS, Quality and CI guidelines as directed by leadership.
  • Participates in Continuous Improvement and safety activities.
  • May train and mentor new technicians.
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds with lift assist or buddy system as needed.
  • May work overtime beyond 40 hours/week as required.
  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:30am (2nd shift).

Job Description:
  • Follows blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
  • Uses measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify systems and components/assemblies
  • Maintains records of production and reports any issues while following standard procedures.
  • Ensures systems and components/assemblies meet established specifications.
  • Reworks and repairs various mechanical and electromechanical systems and components/assemblies as needed.
  • May learn how to disassemble, repair, and assemble product according to specifications.
  • Accurately complete production documentation and performs necessary labor transitions.
  • Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
  • Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities.
  • May train and mentor new technicians.
  • Able to lift to 35 pounds. Employees will utilize a lift assist or buddy system if greater than 35 pounds.
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • May be required to work over 40 hours per week as scheduled to meet business needs.
  • Willingness to work nonstandard hours.
  • The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday 3:00pm - 01:30am 2nd Shift
