Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in Tucson, AZ is seeking a full-time Intern - Design Engineering to help design and develop electronic circuits, equipment, systems, and products under the guidance of experienced engineers.

You will gain hands-on experience with circuit design, testing, and documentation, while learning to use industry tools and collaborating with production and test teams to ensure quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related field.
• Excellent academics (composite GPA ≥ 3.0).
• Knowledge and/or experience with test equipment and software tools for electronics design, testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, debug, and test digital, analog, RF, and/or ASICs under supervision.
• Follow test procedures to verify product compliance with regulations and quality guidelines.
• Prepare test data and reports to determine if the design meets specifications under supervision.
• Learn and use software tools and test equipment to formulate and test electronic designs.
• Support production facilities in the manufacture of products under supervision.
• Interface with Test Engineers and factory associates on testing and production under supervision.
• Perform cost/performance tradeoff analysis of circuit options under supervision.
• Investigate the usage of latest components and technologies under supervision.
• Complete design documentation in required formats under supervision.
• Collaborate with team on feedback during development as part of duties.
