Position Summary

As our Electronics Design Engineer I, you will be responsible for the design/development of new technology, products, and processes to meet cost, schedule and performance goals. You will work with high‑level personnel including internal Moog stakeholders, our valued customers, and vendors, and report to the Electrical Engineering Manager while working onsite on the first shift in a collaborative and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electronics hardware schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials.
• Conduct electronics hardware level integration and test.
• Support multiple aspects of technical project planning, including designs, proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and technical interface meetings throughout the program lifecycle.
• Ensure traceability between customer requirements and system requirements.
• Develop engineering test requirements and unit/subsystem/system test plans.
• Represent Moog in a manner consistent with its creative technical reputation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related technical degree.
• 2+ years of electronics hardware design and development experience.
• Experience designing PCB boards involving microprocessors and data communication.
• Knowledge of optical system design and related technologies (preferred).
• Proven expertise in high‑speed digital and analog circuit design, including work with Layer 2+ Ethernet switches, Ethernet PHYs, DC/DC power management, signal retimers/redrivers, FPGAs, CPLDs, and microcontrollers.
• Hands‑on experience with widely used communication protocols, including USB, CAN, RS‑422, RS‑485, SPI, I²C, and UART.

Johnson City, TN $75,000.00–$100,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
