Job summary

Saab, Inc. in the United States is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing for electronics across North America and international markets.

You will develop category strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to optimize quality, delivery, and cost. Ideal candidates have a BA/BS in supply chain or engineering, 8+ years in sourcing, strong financial acumen, and experience with electronics.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management; Master’s degree reduces experience by 2 years.
• Strong financial acumen related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead identification, evaluation, negotiation, and award of first-time contracts for new suppliers.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics commodities.
• Support supply chain during win business process by identifying critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand supply base and commodity categories.
• Perform market research and analyze trends for electronics.
• Identify risks and opportunities in electronics category via SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine future needs.
• Create adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand supplier capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Inc. small business objectives and promote diverse supplier base.
• Develop supplier evaluation and scoring system for data-driven decisions.
• Document processes with SOPs and work instructions.
