Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Commodity Management Professional to lead strategic sourcing across North America and beyond, focusing on electronics commodities and supplier development.

You will develop category strategies, negotiate first-time contracts, manage supplier lists, and perform spend analysis to drive cost reductions. Domestic and international travel up to 25% is required, with a focus on collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 8+ years with a BA/BS, or 6+ years with a Master’s degree, of experience typically in Sourcing or Supply Chain Management is required.
• Strong financial acumen especially related to sourcing and supply chain.
• Strong electronics technical background.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commodity category strategies to drive value in Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, and Sustainability.
• Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and award for first-time contracts.
• Manage approved supplier list for electronics suppliers.
• Support win-bid process by vetting and onboarding critical suppliers.
• Analyze data to understand spend and supplier base.
• Perform market research and trend analysis for electronics categories.
• Identify risks and opportunities via SWOT and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast needs.
• Create adaptable supply chain for electronics commodities.
• Lead supplier evaluations to understand capabilities and processes.
• Conduct spend analysis and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews with critical suppliers.
• Support Saab Small Business objectives and promote diverse supply base.
• Develop supplier evaluation and scoring systems for data-driven decisions.
• Develop or modify SOPs and work instructions.
