Note: This position is an on-site role located at the DFW Airport Business Park. The hired candidate can choose a shift starting between 11 am and 1 pm, ending between 7 pm and 9 pm, depending on the start time.

A Day in the Life

As an Electronics Calibration Technician, you will follow standard procedures to calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment for customer orders. You will assist other technicians with complex issues and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of test equipment to customers.

Responsibilities

1. Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic test equipment at the component level.
2. Follow procedures and standards for inbound, outbound, and returned equipment.
3. Document actions in the inventory management system.
4. Ensure calibrations are traceable to recognized measurement standards.
5. Assist customers with technical issues and equipment setup.
6. Maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
7. Work independently on assigned projects within guidelines.
8. Functionally test units and perform calibrations using manual or automated procedures.
9. Identify parts and accessories related to equipment.
10. Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust units using schematics and manuals.
11. Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
12. Contribute to organizational goals and uphold company reputation.

Must-Haves

1. At least 2 years of electrical metrology experience.
2. Strong knowledge of electronic test equipment theory, calibration, and maintenance.
3. Familiarity with basic computer skills for database and equipment control.
4. Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
5. Associate's degree or equivalent experience in electronics repair and calibration.
6. Military PMEL training preferred.
7. Experience with ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSLI Z540-1, and Z540.3 calibration systems.
