Job Description:

The Operations Associate position is a bargaining represented position and is responsible for all aspects of assembly and repair of printed circuit boards, electronic cabinets, cable harnesses, and/or electro-mechanical assemblies. Typical duties may include; hand soldering, mechanical assembly, inspection, cable assembly, electronic rack assembly, electronic system assembly, point-to-point wiring.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret electronic and mechanical diagrams and assembly instructions.
• Able to obtain IPC-610 and/or J Standard 001 certifications
• Demonstrated aptitude for mechanical assembly
• Ability to tolerate exposure to solder paste, flux, and solder fumes.
• Proficient computer skills to include using Microsoft products (i.e., word, email)
• Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  
  
  

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience in mechanical assembly, hand soldering, and self-inspection
• IPC-620 certifications
• Three (3) or more years of experience in high tech electronics environment
• Completion of a certified technical school training
