CesiumAstro seeks a Manufacturing Technician III to join our team in Austin, TX. You will assemble complex mechanical and electrical components from engineering drawings, using precision tools and MES-driven processes.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced startup environment. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing or electronics assembly, experience interpreting schematics, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while collaborating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing/production/assembly.
• Able to interpret schematics/drawings.
• Work with team and engineers to ensure correct implementation.
• Experience using tools to make/repair parts.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Differentiate colored wires.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace.
• Familiar with ESD/FOD environment.
• Basic computer skills for quality control forms.
• Work with minimal supervision and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electrical components per drawings and procedures.
• Setup equipment, tool changes, production adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Resolve routine manufacturing issues while maintaining quality and safety.
• Assist assembly and testing of automation equipment and tooling.
• Contribute to MES route steps and work instructions.
• Support engineering with deviations and new product introductions.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections with precision tools.
• Verify assemblies meet drawings, specs, and workmanship standards.
• Record production, inspection, traceability, and nonconformance data.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Support new product introductions, inventory accuracy, and continuous flow.
• Guide Manufacturing Technicians on methods and procedures.
• Follow manufacturing procedures, safety, and 5S standards.
