Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a passionate Electronic Application Engineer to shape next-generation vehicle electronics. You will collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and partners globally to deliver high-quality cockpit electronics, ECUs, and wireless systems that meet performance, cost, and customer experience targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience managing projects and collaborating with internal/external partners.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings/specifications.
• Experience supporting technical issue investigations with multiple partners.
• Working knowledge of quality tools (DFMEA, DRBFM, FTA) and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Guide electronic components from requirements through start of production.
• Define electrical interfaces and parameters for cockpit electronics and vehicle components.
• Lead schedules, milestones, risks, and recovery plans with internal teams and suppliers.
• Collaborate with design, evaluation, quality, manufacturing, sales, and suppliers.
• Apply components across concurrent vehicle programs and model changes.
• Benchmark competitors and emerging tech to improve cost, mass, and performance.
• Partner with NA and Japan teams for vehicle application, testing, and decision-making.
