Job Title: Electronic Worker Location: Indianapolis, IN Duration: 6 Months (Temp to Hire) Pay Range: $25-$28/hr on W2 Schedule: 1st shift hours can start anytime between 5am - 7 am Performs a variety of tasks related to the assembly, disassembly, rework, and repair of electronic assemblies, including:
Duties and Responsibilities: Follows detailed written and verbal instructions, process routings, wiring diagrams, and production planning documents. Performs board and component preparation, soldering (both through-hole and surface mount), and touch-up. Operates machines for soldering, desoldering, pressing, shaping, winding, and placing components. Conducts in-process self-checks and prepares assemblies for formal inspection and testing. May assist with conformal coating, potting, encapsulating, and other intermediate assembly tasks. Maintains a clean and organized work area and follows safety procedures.
Qualifications Ability to read and interpret process routings, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Proficient in soldering and cable assembly techniques. Knowledge of electronic component identification and handling. Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711, J-STD-001) is preferred. Basic computer skills and data collection for Statistical Process Control (SPC).
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Two years of experience in electronic assembly, rework, and repair is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Good eyesight and color vision. May require sitting, standing, kneeling, or squatting for extended periods. May be exposed to solvents, flux, thinners, and other cleaning compounds. May require the use of visual aids (magnification lenses, microscopes) and personal safety equipment. Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance may be required. Must be able to achieve and maintain appropriate solder certifications.
