Job Description

Teledyne API (TAPI), a business unit within the Environmental and Electronic Measurement Instruments group within Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY), continues to be the global leader in the manufacturing of advanced instrumentation for monitoring of atmospheric pollution. Summary

Performs routine tests of circuits, instruments and mechanical assemblies to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine cause of failure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
  • Sets up devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.
  • Documents test results.
  • Maintain logs and records indicating if there is a malfunction.
  • May perform simple repairs and/or component removal or replacement.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 2-5 years of directly related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Essential Duties

Follows all import/export requirements, consulting with facility import/export personnel as required.

Salary Range

Salary Range: $39,000.00-$52,000.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
