Job summary

KBR, Inc in the United States is seeking an Electronic Technician Maintenance III to independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex intrusion detection and surveillance systems, including video, access control, RADAR, and mass notification technologies.

You will serve as an expert in systems integration, perform tests, analyze results, and recommend design improvements while leading maintenance activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Must have steady hands and sound electronics knowledge.
  • Experience with maintenance of electronic intrusion/detection systems preferred.
  • Ability to work on-call and lead small teams on site.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection systems.
  • Lead maintenance activities and coordinate with partners.
  • Execute system tests and modify installations to improve performance.
  • Maintain basic hand tools and ensure readiness of equipment.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Electronic Technician Maintenance III

Program Summary

Job Summary

This position will independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems. You will serve as an expert in intrusion detection systems that include video (IR and day), access control (card readers and keypads), RADAR perimeter security, intrusion detection (PIR and BMS), mass notification equipment and a variety of communication networks.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems of various types and manufacturers.
  • Recommend solutions to design problems.
  • Perform system tests and analyzing results, modifying equipment or installations to improve performance.
  • Must possess basic hand tools such as: Multimeter, Screwdriver, pliers and associated basic electrical / electronics maintenance and repair tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have as a minimum, eight (8) years hands-on experience in the field of electronics.
  • Experience must include operational, maintenance and team lead work assignments.
  • Must not be de-barred from military installations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates degree in electronics technology or a two-year civilian technical electronics curriculum or a four-year trade apprenticeship-training program in electronics or graduate of a military Class "A" electronics school.
  • Previous Intrusion Detection / Access Control System experience.
  • Microsoft Office suite Certification.
  • Have a working knowledge of multiple systems to include: AMAG alarm monitoring and access control systems DMP alarm monitor and reporting systems FLIR RADARs and cameras Genetec NVRs Pelco cameras, DVRs, and video switchers Networking protocols TCP/IP, network hubs, switchers, server connectivity Windows Servers Cisco Switches Fiber communication equipment WAVES MNS MS Server, Windows, Cisco, Security + and/or Tower Climber certifications a plus.
