Job summary

KBR Careers is seeking an Electronic Technician Maintenance III to independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems. The role covers video, access control, RADAR perimeter security, intrusion detection and related networks, providing expert support across multiple systems.

The candidate will lead maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements while leveraging a broad set of tools and network knowledge.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent with extensive hands-on electronics experience.
• Preferred: associates degree or equivalent in electronics or related training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems from multiple manufacturers.
• Recommend solutions to design problems and improve performance.
• Conduct system tests and modify equipment to meet requirements.
• Handle basic electrical/electronics maintenance tools and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

This position will independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems.

You will serve as an expert in intrusion detection systems that include video (IR and day), access control (card readers and keypads), RADAR perimeter security, intrusion detection (PIR and BMS), mass notification equipment and a variety of communication networks.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems of various types and manufacturers
• Recommend solutions to design problems.
• Perform system tests and analyzing results, modifying equipment or installations to improve performance.
• Must possess basic hand tools such as: Multimeter, Screwdriver, pliers and associated basic electrical / electronics maintenance and repair tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have as a minimum, eight (8) years hands‑on experience in the field of electronics.
• Experience must include operational, maintenance and team lead work assignments.
• Must not be de-barred from military installations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics technology or a two-year civilian technical electronics curriculum or a four-year trade apprenticeship‑training program in electronics or graduate of a military Class "A" electronics school.
• Previous Intrusion Detection / Access Control System experience.
• Microsoft Office suite Certification.
• Have a working knowledge of multiple systems to include:
• AMAG alarm monitoring and access control systems
• DMP alarm monitor and reporting systems
• FLIR RADARs and cameras
• Genetec NVRs
• Pelco cameras, DVRs, and video switchers
• Networking protocols TCP/IP, network hubs, switchers, server connectivity
• Windows Servers
• Cisco Switches
• Fiber communication equipment
• WAVES MNS
• MS Server, Windows, Cisco, Security + and/or Tower Climber certifications a plus.
