Job summary

Sharp Clinical Services seeks an Electronic Technician Level 1 to support pharmaceutical manufacturing lines. You will respond to line calls, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment from schematics, and help set up line equipment and Cognex vision systems.

You must have an Associate’s Degree in Electronics, hands-on PLC experience, and familiarity with CGMP and vision inspection systems. Strong problem-solving and clear written/oral communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in electronics or related field.
  • Experience with PLCs and vision inspection systems.
  • Knowledge of CGMP regulations is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Good oral and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to line calls and perform preventive maintenance (PMs) regularly.
  • Troubleshoot equipment using electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Maintain a log of equipment repairs and problems.
  • Set up line equipment and Cognex vision systems per MPR.
  • Install or assist in installing new equipment and layout alignment.
  • Work overtime on weekends as required.
  • Assist maintenance staff during major plant breakdowns.

Together our 1,800+ -strong team works from state-of-the-art facilities across the World.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following is a list of minimum responsibilities related to the Electronic Technician Level 1 position. Other duties may also be assigned.Efficiently respond to line calls and conduct PMs on a regular basis.Always maintains safe work practices.Must be competent in troubleshooting all equipment on site with the use of electrical schematics and blueprints.Evaluate equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime.Must be able to maintain a log/work sheet of equipment repairs and problems.Must be competent in the use of all plant electrical test equipment.Must be able to set up line equipment and vision systems in accordance with a Master Production Record.Able to follow and understand production procedures, good documentation practices, and Work instructions.Setup, maintain and troubleshoot Cognex Vision Systems.Setup, maintain and troubleshoot Systech Serialization Systems.Install or assist in the installation of new equipment, including proper layout and alignment.Must assist all other maintenance personnel in the event of a major plant breakdown.Must be able to work overtime on weekends.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Direct reports if any and the level of supervision.PREFERRED / REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:An Associate’s Degree in Electronics.Experience with PLC programs.Experience with Vision inspection systems and control circuits.Strong troubleshooting skills.Experience with Robotics and programming is a plus.Knowledge of National Electrical Code.Experience adhering to CGMP regulations.Have good communication skills oral and written.
