Job summary

Vector Security in Jackson, TN is hiring an Electronic Systems Technician to install and service residential and small to mid-sized commercial security systems. You will handle wiring, panel programming, system setup, and explaining operations to customers, while maintaining professionalism with peers and clients.

The role includes mentoring junior technicians and ensuring accurate documentation, with a required HS diploma, valid driver's license, and preferred alarm technician certification.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of industry experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving history.
• Certified Alarm Technician level 1 or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of minimum training/certification checklist per Technician Career Path.
• Must communicate professionally to provide superior customer service.
• Must understand technical functionality of various systems learned online or hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Install/service residential systems and/or small to mid-sized commercial accounts.
• Accurately complete installations and/or servicing with supervision.
• Troubleshoot basic systems of assigned types.
• Utilize skills in basic wiring, panel programming, and system set-up.
• Check for, and correct, any errors in work and paperwork.
• Display professionalism when interacting with peers, managers, and customers.
• Train and mentor technicians: review work of Entry Level technicians on shared job site and provide training to correct errors.
