Job summary

Cummins Inc. is offering a Summer Internship in Engineering that provides hands-on experience creating and managing software for Cummins products across customer applications. You will contribute to product software, hardware integration, and performance improvements in real-world environments.

This on-site internship is designed for full-time students, requires 40 hours/week for 10–12 weeks, and expects a GPA of 2.5+ with eligibility for CPT/OPT where needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in engineering or related field.
• Interest in mechatronics and product development.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage software that controls Cummins products.
• Identify stakeholder requirements and design software interactions.
• Develop and integrate hardware components with software.
• Translate product requirements into hardware and software specs.
