Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronic Security Engineer 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit.

You will support design, integration, and operation of electronic security systems across federal, local, and commercial sites, collaborating with project leadership and field teams. The role involves coordinating engineering, procurement, field execution, and commissioning, with opportunities to work on intrusion, access control, biometrics, and video surveillance projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline is required.
• 2+ years supporting commercial construction, electronic security, or low-voltage projects.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering, procurement, scheduling, documentation, field execution and commissioning with project teams.
• Review drawings and specs, assist with clarifications and constructability reviews.
• Support field teams with QA/QC, field documentation and issue tracking.
• Track procurement, RFIs, submittals and change orders.
• Assist with closeout documentation, as-builts, firmware records, and turnover packages.
