Job summary

Sage Sustainable Electronics is seeking an Electronic Repair Technician to process assets, evaluate condition, and implement upgrades while protecting sensitive data. You will configure hardware, perform OS installs, and record details in the ERP system to support efficient disposition and inventory planning.

The role requires 2+ years with hardware, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in a technology field.
• 2+ years’ hardware experience, repair-oriented background.
• Strong computer literacy and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and follow written or diagrammed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assets and determine value based on condition.
• Configure, upgrade and test computer hardware and peripherals.
• Enter asset data into ERP and manage inventory for upgrades/repairs.
• Install operating systems per procedure and perform data security checks.
• Travel to other sites or customer locations (approx. 10%).

Sage is looking for an Electronic Repair Technician to perform asset processing, detailed evaluation, upgrade, and critical data security functions. Our clients are some of the largest enterprise technology users in the world, fueling rapid growth and numerous career opportunities to do well while doing good.Evaluates electronic assets and determines value based on physical and operational condition.Performs data security on electronic assets.Configures, upgrades and tests computer hardware and peripherals.Inspects, classifies, diagnoses, evaluates, disassembles, and repairs computer hardware.Evaluates and identifies hardware for specific disposition (resell, repair, harvest, recycle, etc.).Upgrades products through the addition of new hardware.Adjusts, repairs, and replaces worn or defective parts.Works with Sales to evaluate the feasibility to repair and/or upgrade assets.Enters detailed asset information into the ERP system that is not auto populated by the data security software.Evaluates inventory on hand to determine if parts are available for upgrade and/or repair.
