The role supports production by identifying root causes of failures, performing corrective actions, and documenting repair activities to ensure compliance with customer specs and manufacturing requirements.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED, 0–5 years of relevant electronics experience, and skills in reading schematics,

Qualifications

  • Soldering and rework to IPC standards.
  • Working knowledge of electronic test equipment and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic assemblies, circuit cards, and systems.
  • Perform component-level repairs on PCBs and assemblies.
  • Repair products per established procedures and quality requirements.
  • Analyze failures and determine corrective actions.
  • Document repair activities and dispositions in records.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production.
  • Identify recurring failure trends and suggest improvements.
  • Follow workmanship standards, ESD and quality procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety policies.

Job Description
Position Summary

The Electronic Repair Technician diagnoses, troubleshoots, repairs, and tests electronic assemblies, circuit boards, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing requirements. This position supports production operations by identifying root causes of failures, performing corrective actions, and documenting repair activities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic assemblies, circuit cards, and systems using schematics, drawings, specifications, and test equipment.
  • Perform component-level repairs on printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies.
  • Repair production and customer-returned products in accordance with established procedures and quality requirements.
  • Analyze failures and determine corrective actions to restore product functionality.
  • Document repair activities, findings, and disposition of products in manufacturing systems and repair records.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Production personnel to resolve product issues.
  • Identify recurring failure trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Follow workmanship standards, ESD requirements, and quality procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and corrective action activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 0-5 years of electronics troubleshooting, repair, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience repairing electronic and circuit card assemblies preferred.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of electronic components and circuit functionality.
  • Ability to perform soldering and rework to IPC standards.
  • Working knowledge of electronic test equipment and measurement tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
