Job summary

The State of Colorado's Department of Public Safety seeks a central records technician to support the CDPS Records Unit. Under supervision, you will learn to maintain, retrieve, protect, retain and destroy agency records while delivering reliable service to internal departments and criminal justice partners.

This role emphasizes confidentiality, attention to detail, and ability to work in a hybrid schedule with some in-office training.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional records management experience handling confidential or sensitive information.
• Combination of related education and/or relevant professional records management experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Learn confidential complex administrative work involving input, retrieval, update and filing; purge records as required.
• Respond to records requests including incident reports and redaction for public release; ensure compliance with statutes.
• Liaise with internal and external partners and attend hearings when required; support accuracy and timeliness.
