Job summary

Carrier, through its Automated Logic division, seeks an experienced engineer for onsite work in Kennesaw, GA. The role spans process engineering, quality assurance, and production support to improve test efficiency, product reliability, and manufacturing throughput.

The candidate will lead small projects, introduce new equipment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced high-tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of circuit analysis and troubleshooting experience or electronics exposure in work, military, or academic settings.

Responsibilities

  • Process Engineering: contribute to PCB testing processes, develop best practices, research new tech to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Quality Assurance: manage PCB test processes, apply Six Sigma/Lean/RRCA to reduce waste, improve productivity and reliability.
  • Production Line Support: ensure continuous operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation.

About this role

This is an onsite position based at 1150 Roberts Blvd., Kennesaw, GA (adjacent to the Headquarters building). Please note that all daily operations and interviews for this specific role are conducted at this location.

Key Responsibilities
Process Engineering
  • Contribute by applying knowledge of PCB testing process.
  • Develop best practices for manufacturing test processes including software design and test fixture design.
  • Research and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and quality.
Quality Assurance
  • Involvement with quality items for PCB Test processes
  • Utilize formal quality systems (Six Sigma/Lean/RRCA) to identify and eliminate waste.
  • Improve productivity, quality, and equipment uptime.
  • Use process data i.e., test results and lab tests to evaluate product and process quality.
Production Line Support
  • Ensure continuous operations through preventative maintenance processes, equipment troubleshooting and repair, equipment, and tool selection.
  • Create and maintain required documentation and training of production employees.
Project Management
  • Responsible for multiple small projects or lead larger projects.
  • New product introductions and new equipment selection and commissioning
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience in basic circuit analysis and troubleshooting and/or 2 years of exposure in electronics in work, or military, or academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology
  • Work in a fast-paced high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with industrial controls, PLC’s, Automation, and test equipment.
  • Expertise in software implementation of data acquisition, instrument control and communication protocols.
  • Experience in software development and software development tools.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electrical schematics to develop test plans and diagnosecircuit faults.
  • Proficient in the use of all hand tools including wire-wrap and soldering experience.
  • Expert in the use of test equipment, (DMM, Oscilloscopes), to diagnose electronic assemblies.
  • Proficient in a variety of computer software programs: MS Office, CAD, and Software Configuration Management tools.
  • Ability to research/ specify vendors and engineering tools.
  • Proficient in analyzing data to determine best course of action.
  • Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing knowledge
  • Technical writing skills including process documentation and submitting proposals.
  • Process Management, Project Management and/or Quality Assurance
  • Ability to quickly learn engineering software suites used in include AutoCAD and test automation software.
  • Able to work with minimal guidance and direction.
  • Foster relationships with production employees, peers, and manufacturing management
  • Energetic, hands-on, drive change and continuous improvement.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.

Other Compensation

Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
