Job summary

HW Staffing Solutions is seeking an Electronic Manufacturing Technician for 1st or 2nd shift in Tempe, AZ. You will perform precision assembly, inspection, and testing in a clean, climate-controlled production setting.

The role requires excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints and instructions. Training provided; shift options include 1st and 2nd shifts with a 9/80 schedule where applicable.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 0–3 years in manufacturing, production, assembly, or electronics preferred.
  • Clear reading and following of work instructions and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic and electro-mechanical components per drawings and instructions.
  • Use hand tools, microscopes, spot welders, and automated equipment for precision assembly.
  • Set up, operate and perform minor PM on production equipment.
  • Inspect products to ensure quality and document data in systems.

Electronic Manufacturing Technician (1st & 2nd Shift)

Location: Tempe, AZ

Pay Rates:1st Shift: $19.50/hour 2nd Shift: $21.45/hour

Schedules (9/80 Work Schedule): 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-2:30 PM | Friday 5:00 AM-1:00 PM 2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 2:30 PM-1:00 AM | Friday 2:30 PM-12:00 AMOccasional overtime may be required.

Position Summary

Join an industry-leading manufacturer producing advanced electronic and electro-mechanical products. As an Electronic Manufacturing Technician, you'll perform precision assembly, inspection, machine operation, and testing in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy detailed, hands‑on work, have excellent manual dexterity, and take pride in producing high-quality products.

What You'll Do
  • Perform electronic and electro‑mechanical assembly using detailed work instructions and blueprints.
  • Assemble small precision components using hand tools, microscopes, spot welders, and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Set up, operate, and perform minor preventive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Perform wiring, component installation, cable harnessing, and hand assembly operations.
  • Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify and document non‑conforming materials and assist with corrective actions.
  • Enter production, inventory, and quality data into computer systems.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Meet daily production goals while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety and quality procedures.
Work Environment

Cleanroom manufacturing environment. Required to wear cleanroom attire (bunny suit), gloves, hairnet, safety glasses, facemask, and other PPE. Work involves repetitive manual assembly of very small components, including glass parts and micro‑electronics. Combination of sitting and standing throughout the shift. Team‑oriented production environment supporting multiple manufacturing programs.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0-3 years of manufacturing, production, assembly, or electronics experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly read and write English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electronics manufacturing or electro‑mechanical assembly.
  • Experience working with microscopes or small electronic components.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles.
  • Strong attendance record.
  • Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
