Job summary

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician to support increased activity at our manufacturing facility. The technician will perform routine and non-routine testing, assembly, wiring, soldering, and analysis activities while following established procedures and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with assembly, soldering, wiring, and electro‑mechanical components, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical procedures accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and non-routine testing and analysis processes with demonstrated proficiency.
  • Assemble electro‑mechanical components and equipment according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Perform soldering and wiring activities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Inspect assemblies, wiring, solder joints, and components to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Follow established work instructions, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot basic assembly, wiring, soldering, and electro‑mechanical issues.
  • Support manufacturing and production activities as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to testing and production activities.
  • Identify problems and use appropriate judgment to resolve routine issues.
  • Work under general supervision on repetitive tasks and direct supervision when learning new processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and technical teams to meet production and quality objectives.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience working in a related technician, manufacturing, or assembly capacity.
  • Hands‑on assembly experience.
  • Strong soldering skills.
  • Experience with wiring and electro‑mechanical components.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work onsite during the scheduled day shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electronics certification or technical training.
  • Soldering certification.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience working with electro‑mechanical systems or components.
  • Previous experience performing testing or inspection activities.
Work Environment
  • 100% onsite at the Northbelt Shop manufacturing facility.
  • Day shift with a 6:00 AM start time.
  • Non-field position; work will be performed at a manufacturing location.
  • This position is not an MSHA field role.
