• Build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components using wiring diagrams, schematics, parts lists, and instructions.
• Perform a wide variety of electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot, and repair; identify and correct errors.
• Observe all safety standards; maintain a safe, clean work environment; report hazards or emergencies.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies; enter data on computer terminals; may perform programming.
• Check own work for conformance to specifications.
• Have good working knowledge of job assignments.
• Detail finished work.
• Receive parts and perform audits to ensure availability for build, test, and repair.
• Inspect parts for defects.
• Troubleshoot and improve processes.

Location: Tempe, AZ

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, parts and wire lists, and written or verbal instructions to build, repair, and test electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
• Perform a wide variety of electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshoot, and repair. Identify and correct errors.
• Observe all safety standards; maintain a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment. Attend required health and safety training and follow safety and security policies, procedures, and practices. Promptly report accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety department. Follow operating instructions, use protective equipment when required, and use equipment and materials properly. Actively strive to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies, and components. Enter data on computer terminal, such as progress, work expense, and labor details. May perform computer programming, repair, or software.
• Check own work for conformance to specifications.
• Have good working knowledge of job assignments.
• Detail finished work.
• Receive parts and perform audits to ensure all necessary parts are available for build, test, and repair.
• Inspect parts for defects.
• Troubleshoot and improve processes.

Other Requirements

• The position is physically demanding, requiring standing, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, distinguishing colors, working in a noisy environment, using hand and power tools, and operating heavy machinery including forklifts.
• May involve working in a clean room; appropriate personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.
