Job summary

SiTime in Santa Clara is seeking an Electronic Lab Technician to grow and support the test lab, develop and test SiTime products, and maintain lab equipment in a safe, productive environment.

You will prototyping, assemble PCBs, debug, run test protocols, and generate technical reports while ensuring reliable lab operations and accurate data for engineering decisions.

Qualifications

• AS in Electronics or Electronics Technology; BS is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Hands-on testing of semiconductor devices with ATE and bench setups.
• PCB assembly (hand-solder and reflow) including SMD packages.
• Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in device test and qualification activities with data collection.
• Assemble and troubleshoot circuit boards and test fixtures, including soldering.
• Maintain work area and equipment in safe, proper condition.
• Troubleshoot bench test equipment and setup issues.
• Record accurate test data for analysis and estimates.
• Maintain and repair custom test sockets and fixturing.
• Calibrate and repair laboratory equipment.
• Prepare technical reports documenting activities.

Job Summary

The Electronic Lab Technician will be responsible for the growth and support of the electronics test lab in SiTime’s Santa Clara Office. He/she shall perform duties related to the development, test, maintenance, and repair of SiTime products and electronic equipment used in the testing of SiTime products. He/she shall carry out assignments related to prototyping, PCB assembly and debugging, execution of test protocols, managing repair and calibration of electronic lab equipment, and other miscellaneous tasks. Other responsibilities include completion of technical reports, documenting work activities, and maintaining the lab in safe, proper working conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in device test and qualification activities, including carrying out test procedures, loading devices into test equipment, recording, and organizing data, and utilizing data analysis tools.
• Assemble and troubleshoot circuit boards and test fixtures, including hand-solder and reflow solder of chip-scale package devices.
• Maintain work area and equipment in safe, proper working conditions.
• Troubleshoot issues with bench test equipment or test setup.
• Collect and record accurate test or process data for use in problem analysis, product verification, process verification and engineering or manufacturing estimates.
• Maintain and repair custom test sockets and fixturing.
• Maintain, calibrate, and repair laboratory equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• AS in Electronics or Electronics Technology, BS a plus
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Hands-on experience testing semiconductor devices, including experience using ATE and automated bench-test setups.
• Hands-on experience with PCB assembly (hand-solder and reflow), including surface-mount and chip-scale packages.
• Hands-on experience with Agilent/Keysight bench test equipment such as power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, digital signal analyzers (DSA), network analyzers
• Knowledge of circuit debug, touch-up, and rework
• Ability to create and modify electronic schematics.
• Experience creating reports using PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word
• Knowledge of MATLAB is considered a plus.
• Experience with instrument control using GPIB interface is considered a plus.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 30 lbs.
• May be required to climb ladders to retrieve or maintain equipment.

Compensation Range

At SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards. We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive compensation package designed to attract top talent.

The annual base salary range for this role is $24.80 – $32.73 per hour. The final offer is determined by factors such as location, experience, education, and training.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact. We also offer equity grants, providing a meaningful opportunity to share in the company’s future growth and success.
