Job summary

BBVA in New York is seeking an Associate to support the Global Markets function. The role involves defining and promoting digital business development, advancing FX and fixed income initiatives, and collaborating with GSS on BI, marketing and workstream projects.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years in global markets (FI, derivatives, FX), knowledge of major platforms (MarketAxess, Tradeweb, Bloomberg), and hold SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or other business related majors.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English; Spanish preferred but not required.
• 3-5 years of experience with Global Market products: Fixed Income securities, Derivatives, FX.
• Experience or knowledge of 3rd party electronic platforms: MarketAxess, Tradeweb, Bloomberg, FXAll, BidFx, Portware, 360T, others.
• SIE, Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the definition, implementation and promotion of the Digital Business Development requirements and innovations to facilitate Digital Business growth.

• Represent GSS in NY in the definition and implementation of global BI, Marketing and Workstream initiatives.
• Assist in defining eCommerce strategy and working plan to meet internal and external customer needs.
• Interact with clients and attend visits with other GM areas, reinforcing BBVA relationships.
• Participate in the development of BI framework for Sales in Global markets and distribute reports based on client activity.

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $120,000 to $140,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
