Job summary

Fronius USA, LLC seeks an Electronic Engineer Technician-Regional to demonstrate the value of Fronius welding equipment and support the sales process across the USA and Europe. The role requires installing, troubleshooting, and configuring systems while collaborating with sales teams and distributors.

The candidate will travel frequently, work both on-site and remotely, and provide technical guidance to end users, dealers, and customers while contributing to training and ongoing product

Qualifications

  • Must have an allied technical degree or higher.
  • Experience with electrical technology/engineering preferred.
  • Welding knowledge/experience is a plus.
  • Robotic knowledge/experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Fronius equipment configurations and installation processes.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair welding equipment in the field.
  • Support sales with system configurations to meet customer needs.
  • Provide product guidance and address usability issues to customers and distributors.
  • Deliver training events and customize training documents for clients.
  • Travel to client sites, installations, and meetings across USA and Europe.

Job description

The Electronic Engineer Technician-Regional works with welding equipment. This role utilizes advanced knowledge of Fronius equipment to support the sales process. The Electronic Engineer Technician-Regional is responsible for demonstrating to new and existing customers the value of Fronius products and services. This position requires frequent travel to customer sites, installation sites, and meetings.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesUnderstands Fronius equipment configurations and installation processesTroubleshoots, evaluates, and repairs welding equipment in the fieldEvaluates the client’s needs for upgrades or up-sells of current or new installationsSupports the Fronius Sales Representative with creating system configurations to fulfill the customers’ needsWorks independently with clients and prospective clients at their locations providing product guidance and support and addressing installation and product usability issues of routine to moderate complexityAttends presentations, develops proposals, conducts demonstrations while acting as the technical expertProvides system advice for Fronius team members, end customers, distributors, and dealers via phone and email communicationPerforms welding system hardware and software installation and integration at client’s location for both manual and robotic equipmentConducts training events for colleagues, distributors, dealers, and end clients with a focus on new and repeat salesCustomizes training documents for new and existing clientsParticipate in trade fairs and provide product and technical guidance and support at regional and national eventsLeads or supports initiation of modifications/further development of Fronius productsAll other duties as assigned by managementRequirementsAssociates/ Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university preferredPossess a valid passport, or has the ability to obtain and pay for a valid passportRegular TravelMust be willing and authorized to travel throughout the USA and EuropeMust have a valid driver’s licenseExperience in the field and/or Electrical Technology/EngineeringWelding knowledge/experience a plusRobotic knowledge/experience a plusStrong knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power PointAbility to work independently and/or remotelyCandidate must be able to work with a team or alone as the need arisesProblem-solving skillsAbility to work on multiple projectsDemonstrated ability as a team contributorHealth and SafetyMust comply with all safety and health standards established by Fronius USA, LLC and federal, state, or local requirements.Ability to bend and reach, with repetitive motion.Hearing, naturally or with aids.Vision 20/20, with or without correction.Physical demands of the job include standing, use of hands to manipulate objects, talking, hearing, looking, typing, walking, twisting, and bending,Employees could be requested to lift, carry, reach above the shoulder, stoop, squat, kneel, and crouch.Employees could be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.Employees will perform duties in an office environment and a field setting.Employees will be occasionally exposed to tripping hazards.The noise level in the work environment is usually low to medium.We offer a generous benefit package including:Flexible work schedule with hybrid optionsPTO available immediately plus 11 paid holidaysEmployer matched 401(k)Medical, Dental, and Vision covered 100% for employees50% company paid Medical, Dental, and Vision for your familyEmployee Assistance ProgramShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityFlexible Spending Accounts for Health Care and Dependent CareFronius USA, LLC is proud to offer Equal Employment Opportunities and committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
