Job summary

TekWissen Group seeks an Electronic Design Engineer for an onsite, 12‑month assignment in Fort Worth, TX. You will design, test and certify avionics PCBs and FPGA/CPLD logic, applying aerospace standards and SPICE modeling. The role involves Altium layouts and rigorous documentation.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in electronics engineering, strong analog/digital design, and experience with Verilog or VHDL, plus C programming skills. This is a temporary, on‑site posting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering as required.
• At least 2 years of Electronics Engineering experience.
• Experience with FPGA design, Verilog or VHDL.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, design, testing and certification documentation for avionics PCB modules.
• Apply electrical engineering theory and test equipment to troubleshoot avionics modules.
• Model and simulate electronic circuits using SPICE.
• Design PCB layouts using Altium.
• Modify and maintain FPGA/CPLD logic designs.
• Prepare engineering certification reports documenting system designs for cert authorities.
• Prepare functional test documents to verify operation of electronic assemblies.

Job Description:

• Assist with the development, design, testing and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft
• Apply electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to test and troubleshoot avionics / electrical modules or systems
• Model and simulate electronic circuits using SPICE software
• Design printed circuit board layouts using Altium design software
• Modify and maintain programmable logic designs in FPGAs and CPLDs
• Prepare engineering certification reports to document system designs that meet the requirements of certification authorities
• Prepare functional test documents to verify proper operation of electronic assemblies

Skills/Experience:

• Proficient in analog and digital circuit design
• Software programing experience with C programming language
• Desired knowledge of control systems and embedded processor design
• Design Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and Verilog or VHDL
• Familiarity with the application of aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461) or similar industry standards.
• At least 2 years of experience in Electronics Engineering or related field

Education:

• Bachelor's degree with a Major in Electrical Engineering.
