Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking an Electronics Engineer to contribute to development, testing and certification of aircraft PCBs. You will apply circuit design knowledge and test equipment to verify avionics modules.

The role involves FPGA/CPLD, SPICE modeling, Altium PCB layouts, and ensuring compliance with DO-254 and MIL-STDs. A Bachelor's in electrical engineering and 2+ years experience are expected. Benefits include 401K, medical, dental and vision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years electronics engineering experience.
• Proficient in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with FPGAs and Verilog/VHDL.
• Familiar with aerospace standards such as DO-254 and MIL-STD.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development, design, testing and certification documentation for new or modified printed circuit board modules for aircraft
• Apply electrical engineering theory and the operation of electronic test equipment to test and troubleshoot avionics / electrical modules or systems
• Model and simulate electronic circuits using SPICE software
• Design printed circuit board layouts using Altium design software
• Modify and maintain programmable logic designs in FPGAs and CPLDs
• Prepare engineering certification reports to document system designs that meet the requirements of certification authorities
• Prepare functional test documents to verify proper operation of electronic assemblies

Skills / Experience

• Proficient in analog and digital circuit design
• Software programing experience with C programming language
• Desired knowledge of control systems and embedded processor design
• Design Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) and Verilog or VHDL
• Familiarity with the application of aerospace standards (DO-254, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461) or similar industry standards.
• At least 2 years of experience in Electronics Engineering or related field

Education

• Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Electrical Engineering.
• Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
• Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
