Job summary

Truestone, an Akima company, is seeking Cable Fabricators to join an existing team in Tobyhanna, PA. Responsibilities include building and repairing cables, following schematics, and using test equipment to identify faults.

Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance, pass a drug test, and work 1st–3rd shifts. TDY travel to CONUS/OCONUS may be required. IPC soldering standards knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust clearance.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.
• Shift flexibility across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
• Experience with tinning, AWG, conductors and soldering.
• Able to read and interpret drawings/blueprints and fabricate/repair components per docs.
• IPC 7711/7721 soldering standards knowledge.
• Cable fabrication training and testing.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; follow detailed schematics.
• Willingness to travel TDY to CONUS/OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, test and repair single-layer PC cards and related equipment.
• Assemble cables and replace defective components identified as defective.
• Operate automatic test equipment to locate defective components.
• Follow schematics and wiring diagrams to assemble chassis and components.
• May work on depot or TDY assignments to CONUS/OCONUS locations.
• Work in varied positions including lifting up to 40 pounds.
• Wear protective equipment as needed.
