Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is recruiting for a direct hire Maintenance Technician to support production uptime in Cayey, Puerto Rico. You will install, test, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic equipment and automated systems, read schematics, program PLCs, and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams.

The role requires a technical degree or certificate and 2+ years in industrial electronics or automation.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or technical certification in Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial electronics, automation, or a related manufacturing maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and industrial automation.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work with tools and small components.
• Availability to work shifts, weekends, or on‑call as needed.

• Program, modify, and debug PLCs and automation controls to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Support equipment upgrades, system modifications, new installations, and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams on technical issues.
