Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find Electronic/Assembly Technicians for a manufacturing in South Austin. In this role, you’ll support the assembly and production of mechanical and electrical systems in a shop environment. This is an exciting opportunity for hands‑on technicians who enjoy working with tools, wiring, and detailed build processes.

As a Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

• Performing mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies.
• Completing electrical wiring, cable, and harness fabrication.
• Connecting battery systems and performing interconnections.
• Reading and following schematics, build documentation, and work instructions.
• Using standard shop tools to complete production tasks.
• Ensuring quality and accuracy in all assemblies.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Supporting team production goals in a fast‑paced setting.

What you’ll need:

• 3-6 years hands‑on experience with mechanical assembly and basic electrical wiring.
• Experience with crimping, harness building, and shop tools.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Comfortable working in a shop/production environment.
• No electrician or engineering license required.
