AtlantiCare is seeking an Electroneurodiagnostic Technician to perform EEG studies in outpatient labs, patient rooms, and ICUs, while maintaining equipment and upholding confidentiality. You will support the care team and collaborate with neurology to optimize outcomes.
The role requires a strong foundation in EEG procedures, with training provided to reach proficiency within 30–60 days. A BLS certification and an accredited EEG program are preferred, with 1–2 years of EEG experience desirable.
The Electroneurodiagnostic Technician performs EEG studies in line with the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists minimum requirements. EEG studies are conducted in the outpatient laboratory, at patient bedside, and in intensive care units for critically ill patients. The Technician maintains equipment, reports malfunctions to the Bio-Medical Services department, and delivers care promptly and professionally while upholding confidentiality. Working as part of the care team, the Technician supports patients and physicians to achieve excellent clinical outcomes, assists the department director in maintaining EEG policies, trains staff, liaises with neurology, and participates in continuous quality improvement processes.
Potential exposure to infectious disease, blood‑borne pathogens, hazardous substances, and injury. Requires standing and walking most of the time and the ability to push and pull moderately heavy patients and equipment.
