Yale University’s Center for Cellular and Molecular Imaging (CCMI) Electron Microscopy Core Facility is seeking a capable technician to join a collaborative team. You will handle the complete electron microscopy workflow from sample preparation to image acquisition and analysis, following established protocols and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and two years of related experience or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Prepare biological specimens for TEM and SEM, including fixation, embedding, ultramicrotomy and image acquisition.
• Operate and maintain electron microscopes and related equipment following SOPs.
• Train and assist users in microscope operation.
• Learn advanced EM techniques such as ET, FIB-SEM volume imaging, and CLEM.
• Maintain records of procedures, imaging data, and service activities.
• Collaborate with staff and researchers to ensure high-quality service.
• Support professional development and stay updated with literature and techniques.
