Job summary

The Stefanini Group is seeking an Electron Microscope Technician in Hillsboro, OR to support R&D through SEM imaging and sample preparation on a fast-paced team.

This contract role offers a 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM), 42.5 hours/week, onsite at 8531 NE Cornell Rd. Pay range is $28.00–$32.00 per hour.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of electron microscopy experience (SEM), a STEM degree, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in electron microscopy, preferably QC/R&D.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience operating SEM; FIB is a plus.

Responsibilities

Location: 8531 NE Cornell Rd, Suite B300, Hillsboro, OR 97124 (100% onsite)

Total Regular Hours: 42.50 per week

Timings: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Pay Range: $28.00 - $32.00

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have 2-5 years experience in electron microscopy, preferably in a QC / R&D environment or must be trainable.
• Must have Good problem‑solving / troubleshooting skills.
• Must have Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to hand‑on operate Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) (2+ years of experience).
• Must be able to operate Focused ion‑beam (FIB) is preferred.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in STEM with basic knowledge in semiconductor.
• Must be familiar with characterization techniques in general.
• Must work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work the 2nd shift most days with some weekend commitment occasionally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support R&D projects by on‑time execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests.
• Must work independently.
• Must communicate and collaborate to ensure maximum throughput in a fast‑paced environment.
