Job summary

Stefanini Group is hiring an Electron Microscope Technician for the 2nd shift in Hillsboro, OR. The role involves performing SEM imaging and sample preparation for R&D projects, with occasional weekend work.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of electron microscopy experience, SEM operation skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but HS Diploma with relevant experience will be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider those with HS Diploma who have the required work experience.
• Experience: 2-5 years' experience in electron microscopy preferably in a QC/R&D environment or trainable.
• Good problem-solving / troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
• Hands-on operate SEM required (2+ years).
• FIB experience preferred.
• BS Degree in STEM with basic knowledge in semiconductor.
• Familiarity with characterization techniques in general.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work on 2nd shift most days with occasional weekend commitment.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D projects by on-time execution of SEM imaging and sample prep requests.
• Work independently when needed.
• Communicate and collaborate to maximize throughput in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on SEM experience required; familiarity with FIB and basic microscope troubleshooting preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider those with HS Diploma who have the required work experience.

• Ability to operate Focused ion-beam (FIB) is preferred.

• Expected to work independently with minimum supervision as well as part of a team.
• Must be able to work on the 2nd shift most days with some weekend commitment needed occasionally.

Interviews

• First round will be phone and then second round will be onsite.
