Job summary

Creare is seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer to design, assemble, and test complex electromechanical systems in a lab and field environment. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to bring R&D concepts to life, from test apparatus to control panels and wire harnesses.

The role emphasizes design execution, wiring standards, documentation, and hands-on troubleshooting in an interdisciplinary team, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on electrical product design, system integration or industrial automation experience.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with wiring standards and panel/harness design is expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and build test apparatus, wire harnesses, and control panels for R&D systems.
• Select, program and configure VFDs, PLCs, and other industrial control components.
• Support system integration, troubleshooting, and validation of prototypes.
• Follow industry standards like UL 508A, NFPA 79, NFPA 70.
• Develop and maintain wiring diagrams, BOMs, and test procedures using SolidWorks Electrical and related tools.
