Job summary

Zipline seeks an Electromechanical Test Equipment Design Engineer to own end-to-end development of test systems for batteries, power electronics, and flight hardware. You will integrate mechanical design, electrical hardware, instrumentation, controls, automation, and software to create scalable test platforms that accelerate product development and yield repeatable engineering data.

Qualifications

• Proficient in automating test sequences and data acquisition.
• Experience integrating electrical hardware incl. sensors, actuators, and DAQ.
• Strong fundamentals in machine design, GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Hands-on assembly, wiring, debugging, and commissioning of complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Own design and development of electromechanical test infrastructure.
• Lead architecture for validation equipment across programs.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Reliability, and Manufacturing teams.
• Develop robust fixtures, wiring harnesses, and operator interfaces.
• Ensure safety, reliability, and data quality in automated tests.
