Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Oregon is seeking a maintenance technician to maintain and repair equipment, tools, and machinery in the plant. You will install, adjust, and repair production equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions with guidance from the plant supervisor.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, LME Certification, and mechanical aptitude; familiarity with hydraulics, electricity, and related systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and manuals.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special-purpose machines as assigned.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and replace parts.
• Test malfunctioning machinery, troubleshoot, and discuss repairs with plant supervisor for approval.
• Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards.
• Observe machinery sounds and performance to identify trouble and ensure proper functioning.
