Job summary

Stenograph is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician in Downers Grove, IL, to support engineering and production on next-generation electromechanical solutions. The role involves testing, prototyping, drafting, and updating assembly instructions for high-integrated stenography products.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of hands-on quality control and production support experience, with Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and availability to work in-office from 8 AM to 5

Qualifications

• Experience with quality control, inspection processes and inspection tools utilization.
• Assistance with Designing for Manufacturability, reliability/durability and validating through testing.
• Testing and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• 3D printing and CAD rendering packages (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product goals and specifications are clear based on the market and product research data.
• Create and review technical drawings, assemblies, instructions, and specifications using SolidWorks.
• Perform quality control, testing, inspections and maintain detailed documentation to track project development, inspection, and testing process.
• Participate in qualitative research activities and establish product specifications including design objectives and product features.
• Operate effectively under time constraints and meet deadlines.
