Job summary

Alcon is seeking an Associate I, Electromechanical Technical Support, to develop and maintain electromechanical systems, troubleshoot, test, and assemble, with involvement in calibration and repair. The role emphasizes advanced technical problem-solving and collaboration within the Engineering function.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
• 3 years of relevant experience in electromechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems.
• Assist teammates with technical problems within the team and with production personnel.
• Assist in the parts repair shop to rebuild and restore used parts to an as-built condition.
• Assist with improvements to maintenance systems including Preventative, Corrective, Predictive, and Spare Parts.
• Support technical projects for equipment retrofits and upgrades; revise or write SOPs and repair instructions.
• Help optimize manufacturing equipment and processes for quality, output, yield and cost reduction.
• Assist with completing validation protocols.
